PROJECT: CAMERON'S STORY

"Before I could touch him, before I could hold him,
I read to him"
Our Latest Delivery!!

On Friday, July 2nd, 2010,  we delivered 319
more books to the March of Dimes Offices in
Albany.  To date, we have delivered 942 books to
be donated to premature babies in the NICU at
Albany Medical Center.  We still have 275 books
left  in storage to be delivered later this
summer.  This will be a grand total of 1217 books.
This might seem like a lot of books and it is!
But it's important to remember that each year,
the NICU at Albany Medical Center has
approximately 850 admissions.  In order to put a
brand new children's book in the hands of every
family of a premature baby in this location, we
must have at least this many books per year.  We
began delivering books in November 2009.  Since
we only do one book raising event a year, we will
not be replenishing our stock until February
2011.  So - PLEASE remember us when we gear
up for the 2nd Annual Project: Cameron's Story
bookraiser!!!

The pictures below are of this latest delivery to
the March of Dimes offices.  Of course,
Cameron's big sister, Schuyler led the charge (as
usual) for this endeavor.  As you can clearly see,
she is quite a helper.  When asked why we give
"books to the babies" (as she calls it).  She said,
"So that other mommies and daddies and big
sisters can love their babies the way we love
Cam-Cam".  I do believe she could be our official
spokesperson!!!
